Daily Booger Report

i guess i should explain the title. anyone who remembers the ’70s TV show “WKRP in Cincinnati” will remember the character Dr. Johnny Fever, who got fired from a Los Angeles radio station for saying “booger” on the air. i bear a pretty strong resemblance to the character physically and behaviorally, except my hair isn’t thinning. i even have the same Black Death t-shirt that he wore all the time. so i’m reserving this section for my little rants and raves, fellow babies. if i type an article elsewhere on here with proper capitalization and spacing, it’s because i’m covering serious environmental info, but if i do my e.e. cummings lowercase, i’m venting and goofing off a little, which i need to do sometimes to maintain my creativity. the booger report obviously isn’t really daily; that was just a catchphrase and an example of me goofing off some more.

i’d be interested in getting your feedback, now that i have visitors from all over the world, on what events are planned in your area for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. it seems to me that it’s become more of an excuse to have a picnic than anything else. i was involved in the first one, and i’ve observed it every year since. i get so tired of hearing the same old shit, like “paper vs. plastic” or “cloth vs. disposable diapers” that it makes me want to puke. those are, to me, “6 of one, half-dozen of the other” issues. they sound nice but are obscuring more important ones. when dealing with chemicals, what you can’t see can kill ya. so let’s have some input?

thank you, and have a great day, wherever you live. think globally, act locally, and GET INVOLVED. rescue a stray animal; you’ll both feel better. i do it frequently.
