In the News

In a span of three weeks, eighty people have died from methanol poisoning after drinking contaminated waragi, a hard liquor made from cassava, bananas, millet, or sugar cane, in Kabale, Uganda.  This is like people in the US who have died from drinking homemade wine that was somehow contaminated with antifreeze.

Also, today (April 28th) is International Worker’s Memorial Day, a day of remembrance and action for workers killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work. It was started in Canada in 1984, spread to the US, and is now observed worldwide.  I hope OSHA is paying attention.
