Proposition B

On November 2nd, Missouri will vote on the “Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act.”  This law would require humane treatment for breeding dogs.  Opponents claim that the Humane Society of the US, and PETA, are trying to take over state departments of agriculture, one by one, and if they have their way there won’t be any animal agriculture, hunting, fishing, pet ownership, or meat eating, and we’ll all be forced to become vegans.  Does this sound like paranoid rantings?  Sure does to me, which is why I wrote an analysis of the statutory language.  It’s scary that such a large segment of the population has been brainwashed into spouting this nonsense.
